Far East is a mountain biking route in western Massachusetts, about 1.6 miles from the town of Aldrich Mills. It is a short out-and-back ride of roughly 1.6 miles, with a high point of about 400 feet and a low of about 268 feet. The climb totals about 269 feet, and the steepest stretch comes at around 0.48 miles in, with a grade of about 6%. Late spring through early fall is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Amherst run from highs of about 69°F in May to around 74°F in September, with July peaking near 83°F. That station sits about 255 feet lower than the route's high point, so expect temperatures up top to run a bit cooler. Several other trails start close by. Missing Persons and Lost & Found are both within about a quarter mile, Far Side is about 0.4 miles away, and the Twister hike is about half a mile off.
