Skaket Beach
About
Skaket Beach is a public ocean beach in Orleans, Massachusetts, managed by the Town of Orleans and sitting about a mile from the center of town. Summer is the most comfortable time for a beach day here. Typical July highs reach about 79°F with lows near 64°F, and August is nearly as warm, based on averages from a nearby weather station in Chatham. The beach also makes an easy base for other outings close by. Nauset MiddleSchool Boulder is about 1.7 miles away for bouldering, and Flax Pond Path, Cliff Pond Trail and Little Cliff Pond Trail all lie within roughly 2 to 2.5 miles for hiking.
