Ship Street Landing is a public ocean beach in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts, managed by the Town of Mattapoisett and about a mile from Mattapoisett Center. It is a town-run spot on the ocean, a straightforward place to reach the water close to the village. Summer is the warm season here. Typical July averages from the nearby New Bedford weather station run to highs around 84°F and lows near 67°F, with June and August close behind. For more time outside nearby, the American Perimeter Trail is about 2 miles away. The Sippican River, a canoeing route, lies roughly 6 miles off.
