Popham Beach State Park

Popham Beach State Park is a 551-acre state park in Maine, about 11 miles from the town of Brunswick. It is managed by Maine's state park agency, State Park and Recreation. Summer is the warmest stretch to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station on Westport Island put July and August highs around 76°F with lows near 59°F, while September stays mild at about 69°F with fewer wet days. The park makes a good base for short trail outings close by. Spirit Pond Trail lies just 0.3 miles away and Ridgewell Trail about a mile beyond. Within a few miles you'll also find Merritt Mountain Trail and the Kennebec River Lookout Trail.
