Trail No. 6 is a short, moderate cross-country ski route on the Orono Land Trust in Maine, managed by a non-governmental organization. The trail is about half a mile long, with a total elevation gain of 37 feet, and it is an out-and-back that starts and ends at nearly the same point, with the high point at 160 feet and the low at 147 feet. The climb is flat, so the route is easy to fit into a longer outing on the surrounding network of trails. Winter is the natural season for this trail. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Old Town show January highs around 27°F with lows near 6°F, while February is similar at about 31°F and 8°F. By contrast, July and August average highs in the upper 70s. Several other routes sit close by. Heron Loop is about 0.1 mile away and Beaver Trail about 0.2 mile. Smith Farm Trail is roughly 0.4 mile off, and the Kirkland Connector is about 1.1 miles away.
