Piste Acadienne is a short, easy cross-country ski route in northern Maine, about a mile from Fort Kent Village. The trail is an out-and-back that starts and ends at roughly 680 feet, with a high point of 738 feet and a total climb of 146 feet. The steepest stretch comes early, at about 8% grade, and the route is back-loaded, so the climb is more pronounced on the return. Winter is the natural season for this trail. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Fort Kent show January highs around 19°F with lows near -3°F, while March runs about 33°F by day and 9°F at night. The station sits a few hundred feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the route run slightly cooler. Several other ski routes lie within a short distance. Mickey's Way and the Fort Kent Town Loop are each about 0.3 miles away, and Birch Loop is about 0.4 miles off. Piste du Voyageur is roughly 0.7 miles away.
