Cold Brook Trail is a 4.4-mile out-and-back hike in the Saco Ranger District of Maine's White Mountain National Forest. The trail rises from about 523 feet to a high point of 1,001 feet, with a total elevation gain of 800 feet over the course of the round trip. The climb is steepest around the 2-mile mark, where the grade reaches 18 percent, and the trail is not accessible. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Bethel show July highs around 79°F with lows near 57°F, while winter highs stay in the 20s and 30s. The trail is open year-round, and the trip takes about two hours. Miles Notch Trail and Adams Mountian Trail both lie within about a mile and a half, and The Family Wall climbing area is roughly 2.8 miles away. For an overnight stay, Cold River campground is about 5.4 miles off.
