About

Potawatomi Nature Preserve is a 266-acre park in northeastern Indiana, about 1.8 miles from the town of Snow Lake. The land is managed by the state park agency. For the most comfortable conditions, plan a visit for late spring through early fall. Typical averages from the nearby Angola weather station show September highs around 74°F with lows near 51°F, while July runs warmer at about 82°F. The closest outing is Hell's Point Challenge, a hike about half a mile away. Paddlers can head to Crooked Creek, roughly 3.7 miles off, or Pigeon Creek, about 7.8 miles away, for canoeing.
