Skunk Cave is a climbing area in Idaho, about 4 miles from the town of McMillan. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Hidden Cliff and Dierkes Lake just 0.1 mile away and North Shore at 0.2 mile. The area is a compact hub of sport climbing, with six routes spread across the surrounding crags. The climbing here is all sport, and the grades run from 5.10d up to 5.12b. Among the routes are Body By Jake and Fire in the belly, both 5.10d, and Skunk Cabbage at 5.12b. The hardest of the bunch, Mac Daddy, is 5.11d. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Twin Falls show May highs around 73°F and September highs around 80°F, while July and August average in the low 90s. Beyond the climbing, the Canyon Rim Trail is about a mile away, and the Mogensen Trail is roughly 4 miles off.
