RPM Wall is a sport climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land in the Pocatello Field Office of Idaho. The area is managed by the BLM, and the routes are all sport climbs, so expect bolted holds rather than traditional gear placements. The climbing is spread across eight routes, with grades ranging from 5.9 up to 5.12b. The easiest of these is Bombs Away at 5.9, and the hardest is Still Life at 5.12b. The median grade is 5.11c, and several of the routes, including Reach for the Sky and Lateralis, sit around 5.11. The area was developed by climbers Matt TeNgaio and Mike Benson, with Tom Smartt also among the first ascents on some routes. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb here. Typical July averages from the nearby Idaho Falls weather station run about 81°F for highs and 50°F for lows, while winter brings highs near freezing and regular snow days from December through February. Crank Cave and The Playground are both climbing areas within about five miles. For time on the water, Willow Creek and Sand Creek offer canoeing about ten miles away.
