Central is a climbing area in southwestern Idaho, on Bureau of Land Management land within the Owyhee Field Office. It sits about a tenth of a mile from Lower Central, another climbing area, which makes the two an easy pairing for a single visit. The area is a bouldering destination with six routes, all rated between V1 and V4 on the V scale. The boulders are the main feature here. Among the routes are 9mm (V1), Deathhedral (V4), and Less Than (V2), the latter two of which were first ascended by Chris Bodnar. The range of grades suits climbers of different abilities. Garaf Trail is about 6.5 miles away for anyone who wants to add a hike to the day.
