Alcove Left/South is a bouldering area in Idaho, about 4 miles from the town of McMillan. It sits among a cluster of climbing areas, with Left of the Alcove, The Alcove and Kid Boulder Area all within about a tenth of a mile. The Stairs Right/South and Down Under Corridor Area areas are also close by. The climbing here is all bouldering, with six routes ranging from V0 to V7. Sweet Pea is the easiest at V0, and Yaniro Exit is the hardest at V7. The median grade is V2. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Twin Falls show May highs around 73°F and September highs around 80°F, while July and August average highs near 91°F. The Canyon Rim Trail is about 0.6 miles away, and the Mogensen Trail is roughly 4 miles off.
