Bechler-Sf Tincup is an easy out-and-back hike in Idaho's Caribou-Targhee National Forest, on the Soda Springs Ranger District. The trail is about a mile long, with a one-way elevation gain of 350 feet, and it rises from roughly 6,520 feet to about 6,866 feet at its high point. The route is a natural-surface trail that allows both horses and bikes, and the Forest Service manages the land. It is open year-round, so you can plan a visit in any season. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 80°F with lows in the low 40s and only about six wet days in the month. Winter is much colder, with January highs near 28°F. Bechler Creek lies about half a mile away, and the Hyde Canyon Trail and East Fork Hyde Canyon Creek are both about 1.4 miles off. For paddling, Stump Creek is about 3.2 miles away.
