Beach is an out-and-back hike on natural surface in the Priest Lake Ranger District of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is 11.6 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 17 feet, and it is rated hard. The route rises from about 2,436 feet to about 2,520 feet before returning. Bikes are allowed, and the trail is not accessible. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 83°F with lows in the upper 40s and only five or six wet days a month. Winters are cold and snowy, with highs near 30°F and around 10 snow days a month from December through February. Osprey and Outlet campgrounds sit about 0.1 mile from the trail, and Outlet at Priest Lake is about 1.3 miles away. Binarch Mountain is about 2.4 miles off.
