Spillway Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Mountain Home Ranger District of Idaho's Boise National Forest. It sits within the national forest's ranger district, and the Forest Service manages the surrounding land. The most comfortable stretch for a visit runs from June through September, when typical averages from a nearby weather station in Hill City show highs around 75 to 85°F and lows in the 40s. Summer is also the driest time, with only about three to six wet days a month, compared with around 11 in December and January. The campground is not reservable. Nearby options include Evans Creek Campground, about 3.4 miles away, and Castle Creek Campground, about 4.6 miles away. Hikers can head to Granite Creek, roughly 5.3 miles off, and anglers can reach Anderson Ranch Reservoir, about 8.5 miles away.
