Deadwood Campground is a small Forest Service campground in Idaho's Boise National Forest, within the Lowman Ranger District. It sits at the scenic confluence of the Deadwood River and the South Fork Payette River, along Banks-Lowman Road 17. The site has vault toilets, and a fee is charged for stays. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Lowman weather station show July highs around 87°F with lows near 45°F, while September cools to highs in the mid-70s. The Deadwood Ridge hike starts just 0.1 mile away, and Julie Creek is about 0.7 mile off. Pine Flats Campground lies roughly 1.5 miles away, and the Lowman Ranger District and Office is about 3 miles away.
