Ridgeline Trail is a 1-mile hike in Georgia, set within Sawnee Mountain Preserve on county land. It is an out-and-back route of about 2 miles, with a steady climb to a high point of 1,595 feet. The trail begins at 1,581 feet and reaches a peak of about 1600 feet before returning to the starting elevation. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.87 miles in, with a 14% grade. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 72°F in April to 73°F in October, with October also the driest month of the year, averaging only eight wet days. That station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the ridge run cooler. The hike takes about an hour to complete. Hilltop Trail and Mountainside Trail both lie within half a mile. For an overnight stay, Bald Ridge Creek campground is about 4 miles away.
