The Flats Connector Trail is a short, easy out-and-back hike in the Oconee Ranger District of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests in Georgia, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 0.37 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 47 feet, and it takes roughly half an hour to complete. The route is nearly flat, with the high point at 404 feet and the low at 386 feet. The steepest stretch comes early on, at about 0.06 miles in, with a grade of 8 percent. The trail makes a convenient link between the surrounding network of hiking and mountain biking routes. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Monticello, Georgia, show October highs around 78°F with lows near 48°F, and April highs around 77°F. July and August average highs in the low 90s. Several other trails sit close by. Beck Ridge Trail and Beck Bluff Loop are each about 0.3 miles away, and Pasture Climb, a mountain biking route, is about 0.2 miles off.
