Macedonia Brook State Park is a 1,747-acre state park in Connecticut, about 4.5 miles from the town of Wassaic, New York. The park holds two trails within its boundaries, making it a compact base for a day of hiking in the surrounding area. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 74°F, with July the warmest month at about 83°F. Several trails start close by, including the Mountain Trail, Cobble Mountain Trail and Macedonia Ridge Trail, each about 0.8 miles away, and the Escarpment Trail at about 0.9 miles.
