Log Trail is a cross-country skiing route in Colorado, about 5.5 miles from the town of Elkdale. The trail is short, covering just 0.28 miles, and its climb is modest, with a total elevation gain of 34 feet from a low point of 8,833 feet to a high of 8,879 feet. The steepest stretch comes early on, at about 0.06 miles in, with a 7% grade. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Fraser weather station show May highs around 62°F and September highs around 68°F, while January and December average highs near 31°F with lows around -1°F. Homestead and Milligan, two other cross-country ski routes, both sit about 0.2 miles away. The Grand County / Fraser Valley climbing area is about 2.8 miles off, and St. Louis Creek Campground is about 6 miles away.
