Zone of Silence is a climbing area inside Rifle Mountain Park in Colorado, on city land. It sits alongside other climbing in the park, with Rifle Mountain Park and the Upper Ice Caves (Feline area) both about 0.1 mile away, so it works well as part of a longer day in the park. For comfortable conditions, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 74°F and September highs around 80°F, while July peaks near 92°F and winter highs hover around 37°F. The closest trails are the Bobcat Trail, about 1.8 miles away, and the W. Elk Stock Driveway for mountain biking, about 2.4 miles off. For an overnight stay, Lakeview Campground and Sage Campground are both within about 6 miles.
