Wild Rock is a climbing area in the Aspen Ranger District of White River National Forest in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among several other named climbing spots, which makes it an easy addition to a day of bouldering in the district. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 73°F with lows near 39°F, while winter highs stay in the low 30s. That station sits about 600 feet below the climbing area, so temperatures up here run a little cooler. Two climbing areas, Big Wild Boulder and Wave, sit just 0.1 mile away. Lincoln Creek Dispersed Campground is about 1.4 miles off, and the Roaring Fork River offers paddling roughly 2.3 miles from the rock.
