Slot Machine Area is a climbing area in Colorado on city land within the Bergheim - Wood unit, about 0.1 mile from Sacred Boulder, Barbie Boulder and Pebble World. The E.M. Greenman Trail starts within a third of a mile. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb here. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 79°F with lows near 50°F, while winter highs stay near 40°F with lows around 17°F. For more time outdoors, the Green Mountain West Ridge Trail is about half a mile away, and Boulder Creek offers canoeing about 2 miles off. Winiger Ridge campground sits roughly 4.7 miles away.
