Slab Ramp is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land within the Grand Junction Field Office in western Colorado. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, so it works well as one stop in a day of bouldering and route climbing in the area. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 74°F and October highs around 66°F, while July averages climb to about 93°F. That station sits roughly 1,300 feet lower than the ramp, so temperatures here run cooler. Quarry Proper is just 0.1 mile away, and SW Quarry Wall and Massey Wall are each within half a mile. For a walk, the Main Trail is about 2 miles off.
