Sanctuary is a climbing area in the Sopris Ranger District of White River National Forest in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of other climbing and hiking spots, with Kwik-E-Mart Boulder and Coal Creek Boulders both about 0.1 mile away and the Braderich hike just as close. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Aspen run to highs around 77°F in June and 82°F in July, with September easing back to about 72°F. Winters are cold, with January highs near 35°F and lows around 9°F. Redstone Family Campground is about 2.5 miles away, and Avalanche Campground is about 5 miles off. For paddling, Avalanche Creek is about 6 miles away and Clear Fork about 8.5 miles.
