Pine Vu Blocs is a climbing area in the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of bouldering areas, with Pine Vu and Unwilling Boulder each about 0.1 mile away and Poudre Canyon about 0.3 mile off, so the blocs make an easy addition to a day spent in this corner of the forest. The area is dedicated to bouldering, with nine routes listed and all of them rated in the V scale. They range from the easiest V1-2 on Blocky Arete and Hydrology to the hardest V8 on Low Water Arete, with V4 as the median grade. Butt Dragger Traverse and Shireman Problem are both V4, and Center Stand is V5. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from the nearby Ft Collins weather station run from highs around 71°F with lows near 44°F in May to highs around 77°F with lows near 48°F in September. That station sits about 600 feet below the blocs, so temperatures up here run a little cooler. Greyrock Meadows is a hike about half a mile away. Ansel Watrous Campground and Stove Prairie Landing Campground are both within about six miles, and the Cache la Poudre River is about 6.6 miles off for fishing.
