Phantom Canyon is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land within the Eightmile Creek unit in Colorado, about 7 miles from Canon City. The surrounding area holds several other climbing spots, so it works well as a base for a day or longer of bouldering and rock climbing. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Canon City weather station show May highs around 73°F and September highs around 80°F, while July and August climb into the upper 80s and bring the most wet days of the year. Dispersed Campsite sits about 0.6 miles away, and the Roadside and Tall Green Wall climbing areas are each within a mile. For a longer stay, Les Huston Geology Field Camp is about 2.5 miles off.
