Misson Boulders is a bouldering area in the Comanche Ranger District of the Pike and San Isabel National Forests in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with The Vortex Boulder and Padilla Boulder and Picket Wire Canyon each about 0.1 mile away, and Scorpio Crag about 0.2 mile off. The area has 12 bouldering routes, all rated on the V scale from V0 to V6-7. North Edge and The Prow are the easiest at V0, and Switching Lanes is the hardest at V6-7. Gill's Other Crack is a V5. The routes are all bouldering, so there is no climbing on rock faces. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in La Junta show May highs around 77°F and October highs around 71°F, while July averages about 93°F and January highs sit near 47°F. Withers Canyon Trailhead, about 1.7 miles away, offers camping, and the Withers Loop Trail and Picket Wire Canyonlands hikes are both within about 2 miles.
