Matriculant Boulder is a bouldering spot in western Colorado, on public land managed by the Bureau of Land Management through its Grand Junction Field Office. It sits among a tight cluster of other named boulders, so a single visit can easily take in several problems on neighboring rock. The weather station that supplies typical averages is 19 miles away and sits at nearly the same elevation as the boulder. Spring and fall are the most comfortable seasons. Typical October highs are around 66°F and May highs are around 74°F. By July, typical highs climb to about 93°F, and in December and January they fall to about 39°F with a few snowy days. Arbor Day Boulder, Cuchesta Boulder and Roundabout Boulder are each about 0.1 mile away. The Tabeguache Trail is about 0.3 mile off for anyone who wants to hike or ride between sessions.
