Solarium is a climbing area in Colorado, about 4 miles from the town of Durango. It sits close to two other climbing areas, Overview & Waterfall and Triple Tree Area, both about 0.1 mile away, which makes it easy to pair with them on a single visit. The area has seven routes, five of which are sport and two are trad. Grades run from 5.5 to 5.11a, with the hardest route being Sun Burn at 5.11a. Among the sport routes, Solar Flare is at 5.9 and Solar Wind is at 5.9-. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Durango show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 76°F, while July and August bring the most wet days, about 11 and 12 a month.
