Hot Spot Area is a rock climbing area in North Table Mountain Park, Colorado, on county-managed land. It sits among a tight cluster of other climbing areas on the mountain, so it's easy to fold into a day of moving between walls. Fall is the most comfortable season. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show September highs around 76°F with lows near 51°F, and October highs around 64°F. That station sits about 500 feet below the area, so temperatures at the rock run slightly cooler. Winterfest Wall and Winter Warmer Area are each about 0.1 mile away, and the Golden Cliffs Trail passes within roughly the same distance. For an overnight stay, Clear Creek RV Park is about 1.3 miles off.
