Dreadnaught is a climbing area on city land in Colorado, about 0.1 mile from the North Ridge of Dinosaur Mountain and the Box climbing area. The two climbing areas sit right next to one another, making it easy to pair them in a single outing. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 73°F in June to about 79°F in July, with lows near 50°F. That station sits roughly 800 feet below the climbing area, so temperatures up high run cooler. The Mallory Cave Trail and Mesa Trail are both about 0.4 mile away for a short hike. Winiger Ridge campground is about 4.6 miles off, and Boulder Creek offers canoeing about 2.6 miles away.
