Breckenridge is a climbing area in the Dillon Ranger District of White River National Forest in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. It sits in the high country, and the surrounding land is part of the national forest's Dillon Ranger District. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Climax weather station, at a similar elevation, show July highs around 67°F with lows near 40°F, and snow is common from November through April. Several other outdoor spots are close by. Columbine, a ski touring area, and the Swinger Connect mountain biking route are both about 0.3 miles away. Raspberry Boulders, another climbing area, is about 2.3 miles off, and the Blue River offers canoeing about 2.1 miles away.
