Tabeguache (25 Mesa) is an easy out-and-back hike in Colorado's Ouray Ranger District, part of the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests. The trail runs about 6.5 miles, with a low point of 8,023 feet and a high of 8,671 feet, and it is open year-round. The route is rated easy, with a total elevation gain of about 167 feet. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows both horses and bikes, so it works for riders and equestrians as well as hikers. Columbine Campground sits about 3.2 miles away, and the Monitor Mesa Trail is about 3.3 miles off. Mountain bikers can head to the Tabeguache Trail, about 2.3 miles away, or the Mountain Bike Trail near Potter Creek, about 2.9 miles away.
