Vallecito Reservoir in the San Juan Mountains near Durango is a scenic destination offering excellent fishing for rainbow trout, brown trout, and kokanee salmon in a remote mountain setting. The reservoir is surrounded by the Weminuche Wilderness and provides boat and shore fishing opportunities throughout the season.
