YMCA Camo Shady Brook is a campground in Colorado's Pike and San Isabel National Forests, within the South Platte Ranger District. It sits among a cluster of outdoor destinations, with Horse Creek and Lone Rock Campground both within about a mile and a half. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Cheesman weather station show July highs around 84°F with lows near 53°F, while September cools to highs in the mid-70s. Winters are cold, with January highs around 45°F and lows near 14°F. Horse Creek, a canoeing spot, is about a mile away.
