Sage Campground is a Bureau of Land Management campground in Colorado's Northwest District, part of the BLM's Northwest District land unit. It is a base for exploring the surrounding area, with several trails, a river and another campground within about 10 miles. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Walden weather station, at a similar elevation, show July highs around 76°F with lows near 38°F, while winter highs stay in the 20s. The North Platte River is about 6 miles away for fishing, and the Grace Creek Trail and Pache Trail are both within 7 miles for hiking. Boswell Creek Campground, roughly 10 miles off, offers another camping option.
