Dispersed camping near Pass Creek is a Forest Service site in Colorado's Rio Grande National Forest, within the Divide Ranger District. It is a dispersed camping area rather than a developed campground, and the land is managed by the Forest Service. The most comfortable stretch for camping is summer. A nearby weather station records typical July highs around 79°F with lows near 41°F, though August and September bring more wet days. Winters are cold, with typical January highs in the mid-30s. The area sits just a few miles from Big Meadows Reservoir Campground and Big Meadows Campground, both about 2 miles away. Climbers can head to Big Meadows, and the South Fork Rio Grande offers paddling at a similar distance.
