Bull Mountain Campground is a Forest Service site in the Sulphur Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests in Colorado. It sits at the edge of the district, with two trails starting right at its doorstep: the Spruce 'Em Up Jack Trail and the Soda Pass Trail, each about 0.1 mile away. The site has no fees, and the only facility is vault toilets. That makes it a simple base for a day on the trails or a longer stay in the district. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Grand Lake show July highs around 76°F with lows near 40°F, while winter brings highs around 30°F and regular snow days from December through February. Other campgrounds within a few miles include Cutthroat Bay Group Campground at 2.5 miles and Green Ridge Campground at 2.9 miles. Climbers can head to the Grand Lake climbing area, about 4.4 miles away, and paddlers to the Colorado River, roughly 5.9 miles off.
