Llewellyn Falls
About
Llewellyn Falls is a waterfall in the Carson-Iceberg Wilderness, part of the Carson Ranger District of Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in California. The Forest Service manages the land, and the nearest town is Walker, about 8 miles away. The falls sit at roughly 8,000 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Bridgeport weather station show July highs around 85°F with lows near 43°F, and the falls sit higher than that station, so expect it to run a little cooler. Tamarack Lake and Whitecliff Lake are both about half a mile away. The East Fork Carson River, about 5 miles off, offers canoeing, and Bootleg Campground, just under 9 miles away, is the closest place to camp.
