Mount Pinos
About
Mount Pinos is a summit in the Mt. Pinos Ranger District of Los Padres National Forest in California, about 2.3 miles from the community of Pine Mountain Club. The peak sits at the center of a cluster of trails, camping and climbing spots, so it works well as a base for a day spent exploring the area on foot or skis. The Vincent Tumamait Trail and the Condor Summit cross-country ski area both start within about a tenth of a mile of the peak. The Tumamait hike is less than a mile away, and Chula Vista campground is about 1.2 miles off for anyone planning to stay overnight.
