Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park is a California park in the Grizzly Creek land unit, about 6 miles from the small town of Redcrest. The land is managed by State Fish and Wildlife. Summer through early fall is the most comfortable stretch to visit. A weather station half a mile away records typical averages in July and August of highs around 73°F and lows near 53°F, with only about two wet days a month. Winter brings highs near 50°F and rain on roughly half of all days. The park sits a few hundred feet above that station, so expect slightly cooler temperatures than these figures suggest. Several other outings are close by. Cheatham Grove trail is about 2.4 miles away. Within about 5 miles you'll find the Greig-French-Bell Trail and the Drury-Chaney Trail for hiking, plus Chris Creek for canoeing.
