West Tiers is a climbing area in Joshua Tree National Park's Joshua Tree Wilderness in California, managed by the National Park Service. The park charges a fee to visit, so plan for that before you head out. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to climb here. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Yucca Valley show April highs around 73°F and October highs around 80°F, while July and August average about 96°F and winter lows dip near freezing. The West Tiers (Lower Tier), Split Dome (South Rock) and Split Dome (North Rock) all sit about 0.1 mile away. For a walk, the Split Rock Trail is just as close.
