The Ugly Wall is a climbing area in the Mountaintop Ranger District of San Bernardino National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among several other climbing areas, with South Face and Main Meadow both about 0.1 mile away. The area has 14 routes, a mix of trad and sport climbing, with grades ranging from 5.3 to 5.11d. The hardest route is Pat's Gym, a sport climb at 5.11d, and the easiest is Back Breaker, a trad route at 5.3. Beauty and Beast are sport routes at 5.10a and 5.10d. Summer is the warmest stretch. Typical averages from the Lake Arrowhead weather station, about 4 miles away, show July and August highs around 81 to 82°F with lows near 57°F, while winter brings highs in the low 40s and a few snow days a month. Pinnacles and Metate are hikes within a mile. North Shore campground and Lake Arrowhead - Green Valley Lake Recreation Area are about 4.6 miles away.
