The Swidgeteria is a climbing area in Joshua Tree National Park in California, managed by the National Park Service. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Dihedral Rock - West Face, Dihedral Rock - East Face and Summit or Plummet Rock all about 0.1 mile away. A fee is charged for park use. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Yucca Valley show April highs around 73°F and October highs around 80°F, while July and August average about 96°F. That station sits roughly 1,000 feet lower than the park's higher ground, so temperatures at the climbing area run cooler. The area has six trad routes, with grades ranging from 5.2 to 5.10c. Three of them are named for the Swidgeteria itself: "Swidgeteria, The" at 5.9, "For A Few Swidgets More" at 5.9, and "Gordo Started It" at 5.10c. The Cow Rock hike is about 0.4 mile away, and Sheep Pass Group campground is about 3.3 miles off.
