Satellite Rocks is a climbing area in Robert Louis Stevenson State Park in California, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, including The Fin, The Bear and The Bubble, all about 0.1 mile away, and Hailstone Rock, which is also close by. The climbing here is all sport, with nine routes ranging from 5.10a to 5.11b. Wednesday Mourning is the easiest at 5.10a, and Ben Gunn is the hardest at 5.11b. The Approach trail to The Far Side starts about 0.1 mile away. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 73°F and October highs around 72°F, while July and August average highs in the mid-80s. That station sits well below the park, so temperatures at the rocks run cooler. The Stevenson Memorial Trail is about 0.7 mile away, and the Table Scraps Pinnacle Approach Trail is about 1.4 miles off. Paddlers can find Maacama Creek roughly 8 miles away.
