Roadside Fire Boulder is a bouldering area in the White Mountain Ranger District of Inyo National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. It sits right beside Mountain Glen Campground, about 0.1 mile away, which makes it an easy stop for climbers staying at the campground. The area has nine bouldering routes, all rated on the V scale from V0 to V7. The most straightforward are Campfire at V0 and Roadside Fire at V2, while Tire Fire Sit is the hardest at V7. The names of the routes suggest a theme of fire, and the boulders are set in a cluster close to the road, which is why the area is called Roadside Fire Boulder. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mammoth Lakes show July highs around 78°F with lows near 49°F, while winter highs stay around 41°F. That station sits about 780 feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures at the site run a little cooler. Parcher's Bluff, another climbing area, is 0.8 mile away, and South Lake is 1.5 miles off. Table Mountain Group Campground and the Middle Fork Bishop Creek paddling route are both within about 2.3 miles.
