The Quarry is a bouldering area within Salt Point State Park in California, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Call Box Rocks just 0.1 mile away and Johnny Cash Boulders about 0.9 mile off. The park's Salt Point Trail and Bluff Trail are both within half a mile, so it pairs easily with a walk. The climbing here is all bouldering, with nine routes spread across the V1 to V5 range. The easiest is Traverse at V1, and the hardest is Music Box By The Sea at V5. The Refrigerator and The Slap are also V5. The routes are listed with their grades and first ascents where known. The weather is mild year-round. Typical averages from the nearby Ft Ross weather station run from highs around 57°F in December to about 67°F in August and September, with lows in the low 40s. That station sits at nearly the same elevation as the park, so temperatures at the Quarry should run similarly. Paddlers can find the South Fork Gualala River about 3.3 miles away.
