It sits among a cluster of other bouldering spots, with Puppy Dome and Wave Boulder each about 0.1 mile away, and Cracked Boulder at the same distance. The area is close to Tuolumne Meadows Campground, about 0.8 mile off, and to the Pacific Crest Trail, about 0.8 mile away. The climbing here is all bouldering, with five routes spread across the V0 to V6- range. The easiest is Paul's Penis at V0, and the hardest is One Try Traverse at V6-. The median grade is V3, so the area works for climbers of different abilities. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Tuolumne Meadows show July highs around 71°F with lows near 38°F, while winter highs stay in the low 40s. A fee is charged for park use.
