Overhang Pinnacle is a climbing area in the Mountaintop Ranger District of San Bernardino National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Hone Pinnacle and the Shooting Gallery Center both about 0.1 mile away. The area has nine routes, with sport climbing the most common style. The grades run from 5.5 to 5.11a, and the hardest route is Black Powder, a sport climb at 5.11a. Kel Tec is a mixed route at 5.5, and Fish and Game is a sport route at 5.6. The Overhang is a trad route at 5.7+. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from the Lake Arrowhead weather station, about 4 miles away, show May highs around 67°F and September highs around 74°F, with only a day or two of rain each month. Winter brings highs in the low 40s and a few snow days a month. Nearby, the Pinnacles and Metate hikes are both within a mile. North Shore campground is about 3.6 miles away, and Lake Arrowhead - Green Valley Lake Recreation Area is about 4.3 miles away.
